Laboratory Information Management System - LIMSFood LIMS, Pharmaceutical LIMS, Petrochemical LIMS, CSI LIMS, Industry LIMS, PHI LIMS, Beverages LIMS, Oil and Gas LIMS

eQMS::LIMS is a flexible cross industry LIMS software - Laboratory Information Management System - that streamlines processes and data flows throughout an analytical, research or quality assurance laboratories.

eQMS::LIMS unifies diverse sets of biological, chemical or physical data collected across corresponding analytical laboratories into a unified central database. Assignments, data and job queues are presented through a browser based user interface, hence any personal computer equipped with Internet explorer can readily access the system.

eQMS::LIMS relies on workflow engine that automates overall analytical processes - from sample reception till analytical report or certificate generation. This LIMS provides mechanisms to predefine analytical procedures depending on sample type, purpose of analysis, owner etc, still allowing controlled modification of procedures thus fitting well into both routine and one-of environment. Data collected through our LIMS are accessible using comprehensive query facility - all analytical data are available in XML format or can be exported in XLS format for further analysis.

By introducing LIMS software such as eQMS::LIMS laboratories are fulfilling several objectives:

    • Automate the full workflow of sample processing.
    • Introduce high standards of data protection, security, authenticity and traceability.
    • Improve oversight and management of all laboratory processes.
    • Facilitate communication and interoperability with other stake holders (customers, regulatory bodies).
    • Cover the whole workflow, without need for paper steps.
    • Support relevant standards and recommendations (GLP, ISO 17025, 21 CFR Part 11, Codex Allimentarius…)
    • Interface to instruments for automatic data acquisition, but also enable ad-hoc and manual work.
    • Implement flexible role-based security.
    • Keep comprehensive audit logs.
    • Provide consistent, efficient and comfortable user interface (with lookups, query-by-example searches etc).
    • Archive all historical data securely, with extensive search facility.
    • Provide flexible reporting functionality.

eQMS::LIMS is a role based system where organization and organizational roles are mapped into the system. Depending on the user’s role, access to the data and system functions are defined. eQMS::LIMS implements audit trail functionality thus allowing the organization to check what was changed, when, where, why, and by whom.

eQMS::LIMS is completely web based and build on open architecture using industry standards (SQL 99, Java J2EE 1.4 specification) enabling it to run on range of software and hardware platforms (JBoss, Oracle Application Server, IBM WebSphere, Oracle RDBMS, IBM DB2, PostgreSQL etc) thus allowing organizations to choose optimal platform for their environments. Thanks to its architecture adding new workstations is an easy task as there is no need for installing and configuring an application on local user machines.

Food industry is affected by EU Directive 178/2002 that requires that all food sold and manufactured in the EU be safe and fully traceable from "farm to fork" - food industry laboratories and eQMS::LIMS becomes vital instruments securing traceability, instant auditability and mechanisms for timely and precise product recall in case of incident. eQMS::LIMS can be coupled with eQMS::DNA thus providing reliable and efficient tool for meat and vegetable traceability based on DNA enabling tracing of animal and vegetable food products through the supply chain back to the source.

DNA Typing and Fingerprinting Software

eQMS::DNA is a software for maintenance and efficient searching of database of human genotypes for forensic purposes - also known as DNA Fingerprinting, DNA Profiling, DNA Typing or DNA Testing Software.

eQMS::DNA maintains database of DNA profiles of convicted offenders, unsolved crime scene evidence but of missing persons also. eQMS::DNA enables law enforcement authorities to quickly and reliably compare DNA profiles collected on a crime scene with one stored in eQMS::DNA database and identify potential offenders.

Pardus' DNA fingerprinting software maintains data on individual donors with optional personal and demographic data, multiple samples containing genetic material taken from the donor, and genotypes obtained from the samples, possibly using multiple techniques and identification kits. Both processed genotypes and optional additional data such as peak quality and confidence parameters and raw electroferograms can be kept. The system also keeps profiles of as yet unidentified traces.

The DNA database can contains not only full DNA profiles (e.g. 13-loci CODIS standard), but also partial ones obtained using different identification kits. While searching it is possible to relax match criteria -- e.g. specify one base pair identification error tolerance.

The searches can be performed interactively or in fully automatic mode. Pardus' DNA profiling system also supports mixed-stain searches with provisions for common contaminant identification -- such as genotypes of laboratory or other forensic personnel.

The DNA fingerprinting system computes probability of random match using either population statistics gathered from profiles already in the database, or known allele distribution data for a particular population. Arbitrary number of distribution sets can be kept (including historical distributions from the database, necessary for retests).

The type of polymorphisms and number of loci used for constructing genotypes is configurable, but typical installation will employ a standard set of 13 to 18 STR loci. Manual entry of data from plate gel electrophoresis is also possible, but typical data source will be results from automated capillary electrophoresis sequencers.

Apart from human forensic applications eQMS::DNA can be also successfully applied as a reliable and efficient tool for implementation of meat traceability. eQMS::DNA enables tracing of animal food products through the supply chain back to source animals, offering unprecedented levels of traceability.

eQMS::DNA employs role-based access control with fine granularity (up to the attribute level). Full audit trail log is kept. The system fully adheres to CFR 21 part 11 recommendations. eQMS::DNA can be deployed either as a stand alone system or can be integrated with LIMS or forensic case management system such as Pardus' forensic LIMS eQMS::LIMS
